Why donate to the Schuylkill Historical Fire Museum?
The straightforward answer is, “Because the Museum can’t exist without the generosity of people like you!”
There are many costs related to maintaining any museum, including ours. Temperature and humidity must be kept within ranges suitable for maintaining artifacts and archives, all year long. Then there are electricity, heat, telephone, water and sewage bills to pay. There is also the various costs for fuel, maintenance, and upkeep on the apparatus.
While the Museum enjoys support from local government and business, donations from individuals are crucial in making ends meet.
Furthermore, contributions from individuals demonstrate to our funding agencies that our community values the Museum and is doing its part to support it.

Our contributing membership categories are:
$25 to be a Bucket Brigade level member,
$50 to be an Engineer level member,
$100 to be a Lieutenant level member
$250 to be a Captain level member,
$500 to be an Assistant Chief level member,
$750 to be a Deputy Chief level member,
$1,000 to be a Fire Chief level member,
or choose your own contribution level (and title if you like!)
For donations of $25 or more you will be issued a receipt for tax purposes. Thank you!
